Well Bottom Blues

Oh my God it's full of stars!

Another Police Riot

The NYPD vomited
out of armored trucks
black as the horses of Lorca’s
Guardia Civil
formed battle lines
brutality of batons
pepper spray
breathing dragoons
they beat punched kicked
the world’s new Gypsies
who renounce boundaries
claim no nation but
humanity.
                         Today
it is Palestine.
Tomorrow they will come
for all the unbelievers
the insufficiently patriotic
families of solidarity
who still count dollars
anarchist Disciples
who refuse to produce ID

Black Terror of churches
violent riots of patriots
all watched over by
riot masks of State
clutching truncheons of rage
