Well Bottom Blues

Oh my God it's full of stars!

Heron Ever After, Amen

Remembering Wendell Berry

When I am done with
life’s noisy city street lamps
its stoplights and obligations
its rectangular calendar
its nervous tic of clock
let me enter at last
into water, into fish, into feather
into root, into branch, into leaf
into the ever elderberry
Let my children find me
in the regularly scheduled
late afternoon heaven
of frog song at sunset
with angel egrets
and devil anhinga
